This is a relatively less travelled new route that has been specifically designed by our agency to provide opportunities for travelers to experience other parts of Mongolia. Western Mongolia bestows it’s snow capped mountains and high peaks, where as North shows off its beauty by crystal clear water of magnificent Khuvsgul Lake and green meadows with amazing larch and pine forests while Central Mongolia almost has a bit of everything and its main treasure the historic Orkhon valley. Above all, you provide an opportunity to experience lives of locals. One of the specific of this tour is, it takes you around a favorable amount of Lakes that are found in Mongolia.

    Ulaanbaatar - Khugnu Khaan Nature Reserve 280km

    • Arrive at Khugnu Khaan Nature Reserve today which is a combination of all kinds of natural settings such as mountains, forest, steppe, desert, small lake and mineral water spring all in same location forming unique scenery and representation of different natural zones. The area is perfect for hiking, climbing.
    • Trekking to the ruins of Erdene Khamba Monastery which dates from 17th century with the perfect location of concealing and escaping the wind and cold of the steppe in the granite mountain.
    • Visit Dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai on the camel back.

  • Historic Orkhon valley

    Khugnu Khaan – Orkhon valley 285km

    • Today we will see Orkhon waterfall which is on the confluence of Ulaan and Orkhon rivers. Therefore occasionally locals would refer the Waterfall as Ulaan Tsutgalan, meaning Red Fall. The Orkhon waterfall is counted as the biggest waterfall in Mongolia due to its height and width. In the years of bountiful rainfalls, waterfall becomes majestic creating rainbows over its currents.
    • You will have the opportunity to ride a horse in the valley

  • Tsenkher Hot spring

    Orkhon Valley- Tsenkher hot springs 150km

    • Arrive at Tsenkher Hot springs. It is one of the biggest Mongolia’s hot springs, has a temperature of 86 degrees. It’s popular for its healing properties and high content of sulphur. The hot spring is mostly used for relaxing and restoring your health. Here we will have a hot tub outside and enjoy cold beer and beautiful scenery. Optional hiking and a great place for wild flower observers.
    • You will be given a plentiful time to soak yourself in the hot pool.

  • Great White Lake – Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park

    Tsenkher hot spring – Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake 260km

    • Road to Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park which is located in Arkhangai province and created by a volcanic eruption. The Lake is called White Lake by locals as a symbol respect to the nature and water. There are few kinds of fish were found in the lake.
    • Hiking along the shore of the Lake. Visit to an extinct volcano Khorgo which is on the height of 2240ms. From the top of the Volcano you will enjoy the amazing lava flows covered with forest and splendid view of the lake. Some thousands of years old lava flow formed an original scene that has never seen elsewhere in Mongolia.

  • Sacred Mountain Otgontenger

    Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake – Otgontenger Mountain 360km

    • Today we will arrive at one of the sacred summits of Khangai range, the Mount Otgontenger. It’s the highest peak of the range and capped with permanent snow and has an elevation of over 4000ms above sea level. This picturesque Mount has been locally worshipped and believed to host some guardian spirits, hence considered as a symbolic sacred peak. Except its own beauty of granite wall, surrounding area of the mountain offer a diverse ecosystem and rich biosphere by making it pleasant and abundant for flora and fauna.

  • Dunes of Mukhart and Khar Nuur Lake

    Otgontenger Mountain – Mukhart sand dune 280km

    • First we will arrive at the bank of fresh water Khar Nuur Lake which is locally called as Ulaagchinii Khar Nuur and some parts of the lake is surrendered with fine sand dunes. The Lake area was taken under official protection since 2010 as a Strictly Protected Area for its fauna and birds.

    • Today we will continue with short drive towards to Mukhart River and Mukhart Dunes. The river gently flows at the bottom 400ms high dunes forging an oasis for refreshing and relaxing by the river side among the lush green trees. This place undoubtedly a natural beauty and one of the must see destinations in the vast plains of the country.
    • Hiking and sand dune climbing activities will surely keep you busy for the whole afternoon.

  • Khyargas Lake

    Mukhart sand dunes – Khyargas Lake 200km

    • Continue driving to Khyargas Lake National Park situated in Uvs province, Western Mongolia. With 75kms length and 31kms width stretching west to east, this salt lake is a shining jewel of the arid steppe. Lake provides an attractive summer home for migratory birds, especially near Khetsuu Khad a stunning rocky outcrop on the southern shore. According to the studies it’s said to be one of largest lakes covering more 1000sq/km territory.

  • Telmen Lake

    Khyargas Lake – Telmen Lake 280km

    • Turn back to the Telmen Lake in Zavkhan province. Saline Lake Telmen has some smaller islands where birds gather during their migrating season. The lake is formed on the high altitude, thus it’s shallow. Shores of the lake matches for an excellent camping site
    • Enjoy the lake view and optional hike along the shore.

    Telmen Lake – Tunamal Lake 230km

    • Today we will continue our journey to Khuvsgul with a stopover at Tunamal Nuur which located in Tsetserleg village of Khuvsgul province. Another beautiful location for hiking and enjoying the peace and freedom in the nature.
    • Short excursion to historical site with ancient rock paintings and men stone monuments.
    • Optional hiking and fishing opportunities.

  • Khuvsgul Lake National park

    Tunamal Lake – Khuvsgul Lake 195km

    • Arrive at Khuvsgul Lake which respectfully referred as “Blue Pearl” or “Mother Sea “by locals. The Lake is one of the wonders and top destinations of Mongolia. Khuvsgul Lake is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the Russian border, at the foothills of the eastern Sayan Mountains. It is 1,645 meters (5,397 feet) above sea level, 136 kilometers (85 miles) long and 262 meters (860 feet) deep. Khuvsgul Lake is the deepest lake in Mongolia. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia, and holds almost 70% of Mongolia's fresh water and 0.4% of all the fresh water in the world. Almost hundred springs, rivers and streams flow into the lake when only Egiin Gol River flows out form this gigantic water pool. Plus its water factors, Khuvsgul National Park cover huge percentage of Mongolian forest and primarily Taiga.

  • Uran Togoo extinct volcano

    Khuvsgul Lake –Uran Togoo Mountain 250km

    • After breakfast, start our excursion around the monastery. To attend a morning chanting ceremony.
    • Start to drive towards to Uran Togoo an extinct volcano crater which is located in Bulgan province on the way to Khuvsgul Lake. Uran literally meaning artistic is a crater almost looks like that its ridges has been carved in very fine craftsmanship. Diameter of circled crater ridge almost about 500ms with 15m depth and surrounded with trees will add color to the scenery.

    • Pass by Khutag Undur, a small county and visit remains of ancient Uigur capital Baibalik, which existed during 9th century AD.

  • Amarbayasgalant monastery

    Uran Togoo Mountain – Amarbayasgalant 290km

    • Continue our journey to one of the biggest and well preserved Buddhist Monastery Amarbayasgalant which means a place of “Tranquil Felicity”. This place of pilgrimage was built between 1727-1736 by the order Manchurian King as token of his respect for Mongolian religious leader Zanabazar. The complex consists of 30 temples. During the communist purges, the monastery was able to survive for its great contribution in Mongolian architectural art and invaluable cultural heritage.
    • Upon arrival at the site you have opportunities to go for a short hike
