A new temple located amidst trees and granite outcrops shows all unique creatures of super power and nature, whereas Khustai national park let you see the last species wild horses roaming in the fields. Sacred mountains, sand dunes and ruins of monasteries all will make this trip full of excitement and recreation.

AGLAG BUTEEL TEMPLE
Ulaanbaatar- Aglag Buteel temple 120km
- We will start our morning with visit to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery. In the morning, lamas get together to pray. They will answer your questions at the Mongolian Buddhist Centre.
- Continue driving to Aglag Buteel Temple. The place was founded by a Buddhist artist and scholar using natural outcrops and settings. The temple area has unusual compelling sites and artifacts to demonstrate. Except outdoor exposures, on the second floor of the main building, a small museum of owner’s private collection offers strange creatures of nature such as 4horned ram skull, single horned ibex skull, full crocodile skin, 5 headed fish and so on.

MONGOL NOMADIC SHOW AND KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK
Aglag Buteel temple- via Mongol Nomadic Show-Khustai National Park 180km
- On the way stopover to view a show of Mongol Nomads where it presents every and each piece of nomadic herders livelihood. The show begins with welcoming of the guests by local herders on their horses, camels and yak carts. After welcoming ceremony all the guests are invited to the summer camping site. Elaborately dressed in their best traditional gowns, herders will demonstrate unique yet only surviving in the world nomadic culture and hospitality in corporation with traditional dairy products, thrilling sounds of their music and games that are played by nomads. Here you will see, milking of the animals, lassoing of the young horses, felt processing, hide tanning and so on. If you would like to see all in once, this is the right show to see.

Mongol Nomad - Khustai National Park 70km
- We arrive at Khustai National Park which is known as being a home of Przewalski wild horses. Named as “Takhi” in Mongolian, these are the last and only breed of wild horses left in the world. Although genuinely Mongolian horse found and seen only in Mongolia, they became extinct in nature in 1960ies due to various human and natural factors. Later with the initiation of eco conserving parties the re-introduction actions had actively started. Since its re-introduction in 1992, today in the Park, there are some 300 wild horses.
- Park has a great range of rich ecosystems which definitely creates pleasant environment for numerous wildlife. According to the researchers’ data, there are huge numbers of mammals, birds, reptiles and others. First visit Information center and watch a video of introduction to the flora and fauna and other activities of the Park. Further drive to see the horses.

DUNES OF BURD AND SACRED MOUNTAIN
Khustai National Park- Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain 150km
- Today we will head to a place called Burdiin Els and Sacred Mountain Zorgol Khairkhan. Probably this the closest desert to the city which offers some decent stretch of sand dunes and arid desert like landscape.
- Locally sacred mountain which name was mentioned in the “Mongolian Secret History”. This 20kms long granite rock mountain has all sizes of caves, sources of mineral springs and home for mountain goats and sheep, eagles and hawks. Also around the mountain there were found several ancient burial sites of Mongol warriors. According to traditional Mongolian shamanic beliefs, names of holy, sacred mountains shouldn’t be pronounced whilst you are there. Optional for hiking and moderate climbing.

MANZUSHRI MONASTERY- CHINGGIS KHAAN STATUE
Zorgol Khairkhan – via Manzushri Monastery- Chinggis Statue 200km
- Today we continue our journey firstly to ruins of Manzushri Monastery. The monastery occupies a beautiful valley of Bogd Khaan Mountain Strictly protected area. Dedicated to worship deity of wisdom Manzushri, the complex was also heavily affected by purges in 1937 and later remaining parts were converted into a local religious and nature museum.
- Arrive at Giant Statue of Chinggis Khaan towering with 40ms height on the bank of Tuul River facing symbolically its birthplace, the direction of East. As the legend says, great king found a golden whip, which for nomads meant symbol of immense fortune and victory.
- Stopover by a Kazakh family. Fine dining with local host family.

TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Chinggis Khaan Statue – Terelj National Park 70km
- An optional day of experiencing horse trekking along the Tuul River thru the vast steppes with abundant contrast of landscapes
- Continue with the journey to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, a place of granite formations created by natural erosions, slopes covered with pine and larch, fields shattered with colorful wild flowers, pristine rivers and lake.
- Lunch with a local family
- Short stop at one of the highlights of the park, Turtle shaped rock and hiking to the Aryapalo Meditation Center.

ZAISAN HILL AND ULAANBAATAR
Terelj National Park – Ulaanbaatar 80km
- We will start our morning with visit to Zaisan hill. This symbolic landmark known as the Zaisan Hill Memorial was erected by the Russians for the honor of unknown soviet soldiers deceased during World War II. A long stretch of almost 300 stairs will take you to the top of the Memorial with the full view of the city.
- If time allows you can do some short city orientation and shopping with our guide.
- Return to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to your accommodation (B+L)
